This page provides links alphabetically, annotated so you can see exactly what is provided before you visit the site. PDR Consumer Drug Information A-Z index PDR Consumer Drug Information is written in lay terms and is based on the FDA-approved drug information found in the PDR. It gives consumers plain-English explanations for the safe and effective use of prescription and non-prescription drugs—explanations that are consistent with the information professionals are referencing in the PDR.

Side effects may vary for each individual depending on the person's disease state, age, weight, gender, ethnicity and general health. Side effects can occur when commencing, decreasing/increasing dosages, or ending a drug or medication regimen. Side effects may also lead to non-compliance with prescribed treatment. When side effects of a drug or medication are severe, the dosage may be adjusted or a second medication may be prescribed. Lifestyle or dietary changes may also help to minimize side effects.

Its mission is to improve the lives of babies by working to prevent disabilities and early death resulting from disorders detectable through newborn screening.
